- K-BGSA : Multi-point gas sensing cable
- K-STRA : Multi-point stress sensing cable
Project Management and Engineering :
Kloé's technical know how and engineering capacity allow it to work in the sensor market with major industrial players as in the transportation of raw materials (oil, gas).
Among the services offered are :
- Facility Design
- Design of strings of sensors suitable for on-site detection
- Control / query unit specifications
- Supply tailored cabling solutions
- Blowing/pumping deployment solutions
- On-site connection solutions
- On-site installation support
- Software customized to the site topology
Options :
- Industrial monitoring cabinets (cooling option)
- 1X N optical switches: increase the monitoring capabilities of a single query
- Reinforced cables, adapted to extreme environments
- Supplementary data backup units
- Blowing/pumping deployment units of strings of sensors
The software suite installed on the various monitoring systems primarily provides:
- The operation of optoelectronic material responsible for transmitting and receiving optical signals.
- The retrieval of all information recorded by each sensor (transmitted to the optoelectronic query) at each data update
- The analysis and real-time display of this information
- Warning and alarms when any configured events are detected
- The geolocation (automatic, optional) of events reported on the site representations (2D/3D)
- The archiving of all recorded information.
Ergonomics of human-machine interface was studied in order to have real time access to all important events that may occur on site : the graphics are explicit, and the display, customized to each installation, makes finding the events very accessible.

To ensure the reliability of these solutions, Kloé has established a procedure for monitoring the manufacture of each optical sensing cable : each string of sensors is thus characterized several times during its preparation, from the manufacturing of sensors in the heart of the fibers to the on-site supply of coil configuration armored optical cables.
Each string is also rigorously calibrated to ensure the response of each sensor on the entire range of operation, according to a procedure that has received the COFRAC accreditation; a specification sheet is established for each optical sensing cable, where all the information recorded by each sensor is reported, from manufacturing to on-site installation.
These various controls performed at different stages of sensing cable preparation ensure the continued integrity and proper functioning of each sensor.

The temperature sensors, known as K-FBG, are sensors inscribed in the heart of an optical fiber, arranged along it, whose distribution is based on customer specifications.
Equipped with the K-FBG Monitoring Unit, they can track real-time changes in recorded temperature along each sensor cable that is connected.
Because of their extreme sensitivity, these sensors are now the most efficient optical fiber solution for detecting leaks, especially for cryogenic applications / liquid gas
Fiche technique K-FBG (1.56 MB)
- Temperature ranges available standard :
-180 ° C to +300 ° C
- Up to 100-120 sensors on a single optical fiber

K-BGS gas sensors, developed and patented by Kloé, function based on the principle of Bragg grating, photo-inscribed in a single mode optical waveguide. It can detect the presence and quantify the concentration of a gas in a given environment. Its single string design facilitates the integration of several of these sensors and allows real time monitoring of various types of industrial facilities.
- Generic optical solution passive for gas detection
- Selectivity (contact us)
- Different gases detected :
CH4, C3H8, C4H10 ...
- Integration of several sensors possible (contact us)
- High sensitivity : < 0.5% in volume
The K-STR strain sensors are based on the principle of Bragg grating. Their specific design makes them preferentially sensitive to mechanical stresses to which they are submitted (variations of pressure, tension, torsion...). Their single string configuration allows the integration of several of these sensors, which simplifies the deployment of this type of cable for monitoring, in real time, structural deformations, vibrations recorded in the ground, on walls, quantifying elongations.
- Standard sensitivity : ~ 1.5pm/µm
- Compatible with an integration of several sensors (contact us)
- 4 fibers queryable with a single query system as standard
(more upon request)
- High reactivity (instant response time)
- Measurement distance (standard) : 0 - 50 km
- High temperature sensitivity < 0.5°C
The K-MZS range offers end of the line components adapted for the multiple detection of gases. It offers :
